The ExMGZ100/200.ATEX intrinsically safe barrier is designed for use in intrinsically safe or explosion-proof environments classified as II(2)GD [EEx ib] IIB/IIC. It features two independent intrinsically safe inputs, allowing for connection to one or two sensors. The device compensates for voltage drop over the zener barrier, ensuring full excitation voltage is provided to the sensors, which enhances measurement precision. It is equipped with galvanic isolation for both circuit and power supply, protecting against electrical noise. The unit is DIN rail mountable and utilizes screw terminal connections for straightforward installation between electronic units in unprotected areas and force sensors in protected areas. The operating temperature range is from -20¬8C to +50¬8C, and it requires a power supply of 18 to 36 VDC with a maximum sensor power supply of 5 VDC.
