Background:
The pancreas Langerhans islet is an endocrine tissue of the pancreas, and it exists between exocrine cells as a cellular mass. The cells called alpha, beta, and gamma PPs exist in Langerhans islets, and each of them secretes the blood sugar regulatory hormones such as glucagon, insulin, somatostatin and pancreatic polypeptides. Among these, the beta cells are the main compositional cells of Langerhans islets.
