Fitzgerald Industries International, Inc. ATG5 Blocking Peptide 33R-2099

Description
A synthetic peptide for use as a blocking control in assays to test for specificity of ATG5 antibody, catalog no. 70R-6015 Background: ATG5 is required for autophagy. It conjugates to ATG12 and associates with isolation membrane to form cup-shaped isolation membrane and autophagosome. The conjugate detaches from the membrane immediately before or after autophagosome formation is completed. ATG5 may play an important role in the apoptotic process, possibly within the modified cytoskeleton. Its expression is a relatively late event in the apoptotic process, occurring downstream of caspase activity.
