The ICH-47F is the latest license-built development of the world famous Chinook helicopter.
In operation with the Italian Army, incorporating all features to meet the latest requirements for secure communications, self protection and advanced data-link connectivity, the ICH-47F is primarily providing air transportation of internal/external cargo, troops and weapons to/from and within the combat area. In addition, the helicopter is suitable for special support functions, disaster relief and fire fighting.
The aircraft benefits from excellent payload, long range and high cruise speed. Its high power engines provide excellent ‘hot and high’ capability and capability to carry out day/night and instrument meteorological conditions (VMC/IMC) operations make the Chinook a unique asset.
