The Ericsson Radio System is the industry's most compact, flexible and energy efficient radio solution – with Ericsson’s radio performance leadership delivered at half the size and weight compared to the previous radio generation. The radio system portfolio consists of macro and micro radios, supporting FDD, TDD as well as supplementary downlink.
The radio equipment in Ericsson Radio System is based on state-of-the-art multi-standard technology, which means it can operate in any of the standards GSM, WCDMA and LTE, either single mode (one standard at a time) or mixed mode (simultaneous operation on more than one standard).
The radio portfolio in the Ericsson Radio System consists of solutions for single and multi-transmitter branches as well as high-order receiver diversity. These can be used in main-remote configurations, macro cabinets or fully integrated into the antennas as Antenna Integrated Radio units (AIR).
