EPO-TEK® MED-377 is a biocompatible, high-temperature optical epoxy designed for demanding applications in the healthcare and biotech industries. It cures at 150°C for one hour and features a mix ratio of 1:1 by weight. The product exhibits low viscosity, making it easy to apply through various methods. It has excellent chemical and moisture resistance, making it suitable for potting fibers in endoscopes. The physical properties include a glass transition temperature of ,â 95°C, a Shore D hardness of 78, and a degradation temperature of 367°C. It maintains a suggested operating temperature of less than 300°C for intermittent use. The optical properties show a spectral transmission of 96% at wavelengths between 640-1640 nm and a refractive index of 1.5194 at 589 nm. EPO-TEK® MED-377 has a pot life of 24 hours and a shelf life of one year at room temperature for bulk and six months at -40°C for syringes. It is ISO 10993 tested and fully compliant, making it suitable for use in medical devices and applications requiring biocompatibility.
EPO-TEK® medical grade (or biocompatible) epoxy adhesives are used extensively throughout the healthcare and biotech industries. Device manufacturers making cardiac, ophthalmic, skeletal and neurological implants rely on our adhesives for protection, while the endoscopy camera market requires their optical properties. Additionally, our products are found in dental and surgical tools, catheters and diagnostic probes. EPO-TEK® epoxies also fabricate the circuitry for bench-top instruments, as well as ensure high performance in radiation detection heavy machinery. Even lifestyle devices, such as glucose skin patches or wristwatch heart rate monitors benefit from our uniquely tailored products.
