11-350 is an alternative cleaning solution to 1, 1, 1 – Trichloroethane, Methylene Chloride, and other ozone depleting chlorinated solvents due to its similar performance characteristics and more favorable health and safety profile.
11-350 is a nonflammable brominated organic solvent with enhanced cleaning performance for demanding applications. It is compatible with metals, has a low tendency to cause corrosion and may be used in current meter mix manufacturing equipment. 11-350 is able to remove and/or dissolve a wide range of thermoset resin systems such as epoxy, urethane, silicone, acrylic, and polyester.
Although the 11-350 has a generally low (but not zero) ozone depleting potential, in May 2007 the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) listed this solvent as an acceptable (legal) substitute under Section 612 of the Clean Air Act through a program known as the “Significant New Alternatives Policy” (SNAP).
