GGB DU™ Cylindrical Bushes - Inch Size 56DU48

Description
Our metal-backed, PTFE-based (polytetrafluoroethy lene) polymer bearing materials have a common structure, consisting of a metal backing bonded to a porous bronze sinter layer. This bronze sinter layer is impregnated and overlaid with the filled PTFE bearing lining. The metal backing provides mechanical strength, while the bronze sinter layer provides a strong mechanical bond between the backing and the bearing lining. This construction promotes dimensional stability and improves thermal conductivity. These polymer bearing linings, being predominantly PTFE, offer exceptionally low friction.

The DU® Cylindrical Bushes - Inch Size, specifically part number 56DU48, are designed for a variety of industrial applications, including aerospace, agricultural equipment, and food processing. These self-lubricating bushings provide excellent wear resistance and low friction performance across a wide range of loads, speeds, and temperatures, particularly in dry running conditions. The material is suitable for both lubricated and non-lubricated applications, making it versatile for linear, oscillating, and rotating movements. The bushings are approved to Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR 25.853 and FAR 25.855), indicating their suitability for interior aircraft applications. They can accommodate maximum dynamic loads of up to 36,000 psi and static loads of 50,000 psi, with a maximum operating temperature of 536°F. The recommended shaft surface roughness is Ra 12 - 20 Oºin, and the hardness should exceed 200 HB. The product is available in standard dimensions and can be customized to meet specific requirements.
