GGB DU™ Cylindrical Bushes - Inch Size 160100DU

Description
Our metal-backed, PTFE-based (polytetrafluoroethy lene) polymer bearing materials have a common structure, consisting of a metal backing bonded to a porous bronze sinter layer. This bronze sinter layer is impregnated and overlaid with the filled PTFE bearing lining. The metal backing provides mechanical strength, while the bronze sinter layer provides a strong mechanical bond between the backing and the bearing lining. This construction promotes dimensional stability and improves thermal conductivity. These polymer bearing linings, being predominantly PTFE, offer exceptionally low friction.

The DU¬Æ Cylindrical Bushes - Inch Size, specifically part number 160100DU, are designed for a variety of industrial applications including aerospace, agricultural, and construction equipment. These self-lubricating bushings provide excellent wear resistance and low friction performance across a wide range of loads, speeds, and temperatures, particularly in dry running conditions. The material is also suitable for lubricated applications, making it versatile for different operational environments. These bushings are approved to Federal Aviation Regulations standards FAR 25.853 and FAR 25.855, indicating their suitability for interior aircraft applications. The product supports linear, oscillating, and rotating movements, making it adaptable for various mechanical systems. The maximum dynamic load capacity is 36,000 psi, with a maximum operating temperature of 536¬8F. The coefficient of friction ranges from 0.02 to 0.25, depending on the operating conditions. Engineers may consider these bushings for projects requiring reliable performance in demanding environments, particularly where low friction and wear resistance are critical.
