The MLG,Ñ¢ Filament Wound Composite Plain Bearings from GGB are designed for lighter duty applications, making them suitable for use in industrial settings such as construction and earth-moving equipment, conveyors, cranes, hoists, and hydraulic cylinder pivots. These bearings exhibit a high load capacity, good misalignment resistance, and excellent shock resistance, along with favorable friction and wear properties. They also demonstrate good chemical resistance. The bearings can operate under a maximum static load of 30,000 psi and a dynamic load of 20,000 psi, with an operating temperature range from -320¬8F to 320¬8F (-195¬8C to 160¬8C). The maximum sliding speed is 25 feet per minute (0.13 m/s), and the coefficient of friction ranges from 0.05 to 0.30, depending on operating conditions. Recommended shaft surface roughness is between 6 to 16 microinches (0.15 to 0.40 micrometers), and the surface hardness should exceed 350 HB. These bearings perform very well in dry conditions, reasonably well when oil lubricated, and less effectively with grease or water lubrication. Customization options are available, including non-standard lengths and wall thicknesses, flanged bearings, and various bore shapes.
