RETRACTABLE SENSOR can be removed from process piping without shutting down and draining the line.
RUGGED CONSTRUCTION: titanium electrodes with 316 stainless steel insertion tube and PEEK insulator.
INITIAL CALIBRATION NOT REQUIRED. Pre-determined cell constant ensures out-of-the-box accuracy.
CELL CONSTANTS 0.01, 0.10. 1.0/cm, and 10/cm cover a broad range of conductivity
MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE 212oF (100oC)
AVAILABLE WITH VARIOPOL (VP) quick disconnect fitting.
The Model 402 and 402VP sensors are intended for the determination of electrolytic conductivity in applications ranging from high purity water to clean cooling water. The sensors are ideal for use in clean, non-corrosive samples having conductivity less than 20,000 uS/cm. For dirty or corrosive samples or for samples having high conductivity, a toroidal (inductive) sensor such as the Model 228 or 226 is recommended.
The Model 402 and 402 VP sensors are retractable; they can be inserted into or removed from the process piping without shutting down and draining the line. The sensor fits through a 1 ¼ inch full port ball valve. The retraction assembly is available as an option.
The maximum temperature is 212°F (100°C) and the maximum operating pressure is 200 psig (1481 kPa abs). The pressure during retraction or insertion should be less than 64 psig (542 kPa abs). The sensor is available with integral cable (Model 402) and quick disconnect Variopol cable (Model 402VP).
Cell constants are 0.01/cm, 0.10/cm, 1.0/cm, and 10/cm. The 10/cm sensor has graphite electrodes; the other cell constants have titanium electrodes.
