Embro GmbH Textile Sensors & Antenna Structures

Description
The precision and repeatability of the embroidery process make it possible to manufacture highly flexible UHF RFID antennas and textile sensors without any quality loss. We can realize any form or even structure that you might want. In addition, you can freely choose the materials you want to use for your product. With our technology and expertise, we can cover a broad range of applications such as pressure sensors, temperature sensors, hard tags and many more. Smart sensors and antenna structures Our ability to embed electronics and their advantages in fabrics allows for the creation of an entirely new type of materials. Partnering up with Embro, you will be capable of adding new and smart functions to traditional textiles. These new materials are then capable of adapting to ever-changing environments. RFID (radio-frequency identification) uses electromagnetic fields for the wireless transmission of data. An RFID reader device creates an electromagnetic field which supplies energy to the RFID tag, and then triggers the transmission of data from the tags we manufacture. This data is usually used for identification purposes. For the purpose of data gathering and logging, textiles with embedded smart sensors and antenna structure are becoming increasingly relevant. In order to combine textiles and sensors or antenna structures, we exploit the major advantages of embroidery technology – the freedom in layout design as well as the freedom we have in the choice of the materials used. To create our smart products, we can use fine wire strands (up to 0.04mm), coated threads or other sensitive materials, which can hardly – if at all – be used under other production methods and technologies. The embroidered textile antenna structures are advantageous in comparison to traditional hard tags. On the one hand, textile antennas can allow for greater reading ranges. On the other hand, our elements maintain their textile character which allows for them to be worn comfortably. Furthermore, our products are washable. Due to the embroidery machines’ ability to position the elements accurately on the carrier fabrics it is possible to precisely reproduce as many UHF RFID antennas / UHF RFID tags as needed. Do not hesitate to contact us! Advantages of embroidered textile sensors and antennas Textile feel Highly conductible and washable Very robust and kink resistant Cost-efficient production Customer-defined sizes and layouts
