The Card Edge Connector, Dual Side, 118 Positions, is designed for a 0.100,Äù (2.54mm) pitch configuration. It features a high-profile insulator body measuring 0.600,Äù (15.24mm) and is compatible with printed circuit boards of 0.062,Äù (1.57mm) nominal thickness. The connector is constructed from UL 94V-0 thermoplastic polyester and utilizes copper alloy for its contacts, which are plated with gold on the mating area and tin on the tails, with nickel underplating throughout. This connector has a current rating of 3 amps and a maximum contact resistance of 10 milliohms. It can withstand a dielectric voltage of 1200 V AC rms and has an insulation resistance of at least 5000 megaohms. The operating temperature range is from -40¬8C to +105¬8C. Insertion and withdrawal forces are specified at a maximum of 16 oz (4.45 N) and a minimum of 1 oz (0.28 N) per contact pair, respectively. The connector supports various termination options, including P.C. tails and wire wrap, and offers multiple mounting configurations with flush or offset lugs. It is RoHS compliant and UL certified, making it suitable for a wide range of applications in electronic designs.
