The smallest of our lumber drying systems. the LD800 will dry 800BF of 1" hardwood. This unit is designed and priced for use by small commercial operations or home workshop enthusiasts who have a need for kiln-dried, high quality wood. It utilizes plug-N-play technology, eliminating costly electrical contractor costs. Typical owners of this unit are musical instrument craftsmen, fine woodworkers, custom furniture manufacturers and hobbyists.
The unit comes complete with a powerful internal fan, dehumidification system, heating element, and master controller. The centerpiece of this rugged piece of equipment is a high efficiency compressor that provides the capability of removing moisture for thousands of hours of continuous use at very low power consumption.
As with all EBAC Lumber Dryers, we provide proven, complete design and construction plans for the LD800 kiln structure.
How It Works
The unit is placed in the kiln structure. A powerful internal fan circulates dry air through the woodstack. The moisture from the wood is picked up by the flowing air and returned to one side of the LD800. The dehumidifier portion of the unit removes the moisture from the air. The moisture which has been removed from the wood, is drained through a hose to the outside of the kiln. The now dry air is then reheated and sent back through the woodstack. Temperature and Relative Humidity are regulated by adjusting the Master Controller, which is mounted on the outside of the kiln structure.
