The MLP 85°C Flatpack™ is a very low-profile aluminum electrolytic capacitor designed for voltage holdup and filtering in military, telecom, and computer applications, with a height of 0.5 inch and a 50-year life at +45°C. Available in three case sizes-EK (1.5 in), EA (2.0 in), and EB (3.0 in)-it offers capacitance from 110 µF to 47,000 µF and rated voltages up to 450 Vdc. It supports ripple currents up to 9.6 A at 85°C with no heatsink, and double that with external heatsinking. The unit has a maximum ESR of 530 mΩ at 120 Hz for the 420 Vdc range, a 20% capacitance tolerance, and an ESL of less than 30 nH. It meets MIL-STD-202 vibration standards and operates from -55°C to +85°C, depending on voltage. The case is aluminum, with lead-free 18 AWG copper terminals, and features a hermetic welded seal.
