Type DME radial-leaded, mini-dipped capacitors delivervirtually the same performance of other capacitors physicallytwice as big. Improvements in film technology permit theuse of thinner dielectric and make Type DME the choice forall but higher current AC applications where the larger sizemay be an advantage. Type DME self heals shorts causedby overvoltage transients. For small size and low cost, TypeDME is tops.
