BC859AW is a PNP silicon transistor in SOT-323 package for general-purpose switching and amplification, with a collector-emitter voltage rating of 30 V, continuous collector current of 100 mA, and power dissipation of 200 mW. It has three current gain groups: A (125-250), B (220-475), and C (420-800), measured at V_CE = 5 V and I_C = 2 mA. The transistor operates from -55°C to 150°C, with a typical thermal resistance of 620 K/W. It is RoHS compliant, meets UL 94 V-0 for flammability, and the -Q and -AQ variants are AEC-Q101 qualified for automotive applications.
