The device operates in discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) flyback topology and utilizes Pulse Frequency Modulation (PFM) for improved efficiency and reduced audio noise. This controller supports accurate constant voltage (CV) and constant current (CC) regulation without requiring loop compensation circuitry, ensuring stability. It includes external adjustable line voltage and cable drop compensation functions, enhancing performance across various cable lengths and gauges.
