The AP2172AFGEG-7 is a dual-channel current-limit power switch designed for high-side applications, particularly optimized for USB and hot-swap scenarios. The device includes essential protections such as short-circuit, overcurrent, and overtemperature safeguards, along with reverse current blocking capabilities. The AP2172AFGEG-7 has a fast short-circuit response time of 2¬µs and a built-in soft-start function with a typical rise time of 0.6ms. It also incorporates an output discharge feature to ensure controlled discharging of output voltage capacitors. The fault report output (FLG) includes a 7ms deglitch capability to prevent false overcurrent indications.
