DW 405BNC Film is skived from UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) that has been compounded with a small amount of carbon to render it black.
The carbon also provides UV resistance.
DW405BNC is used as wear surface where high abrasion resistance is required, such as the outer covering on hoses for severe service applications.
DW405BNC is also used as an anti-squeak tape for automotive and other mechanical applications.
