KSWG2-R1J14 is a module 2, single-start, right-handed ground steel worm with a 14 mm bore, 25 mm pitch diameter, 31 mm outside diameter, 35 mm face width, 32 mm hub width, 15 mm hub length, 50 mm total length, and a 4 x 1.8 mm keyway with an M4 set screw. It has a 3°41' lead angle, is made of S45C steel with induction-hardened teeth at 50~60 HRC, and weighs 0.19 kg. It conforms to KHK W 001 grade 2 precision and JIS B1301 keyway standards.

A worm gear pair, or worm gear set, consists of two gears: the worm, which resembles a spiral screw, and the worm gear (aka, worm wheel).
For the pair to mesh, the worm and worm gear must have the same pressure angles, modules, and lead directions (left- or right-hand).
