KSSY1-96A is a module 1, 96-tooth steel thin face spur gear with a keyway and a set screw for shaft mounting, made from S45C material. The gear has a bore diameter of 35 mm, a face width of 14 mm, and a tooth width of 6 mm. It has a backlash of 0.39 mm and an allowable torque of 5.49 N·m (2.55 kgf·m). The gear teeth are standardized with a 20° pressure angle and conform to JIS grade N8 (JIS B1702-1:1998). A set screw (4 x 1.8 mm, M4) is included as an accessory. The tooth hardness is less than 194 HB. The gear is designed for moderate torque applications and must not undergo secondary operations that narrow the tooth width, as this compromises precision and strength.
