KSSG3-80J40 is a module 3, 80-tooth ground spur gear with a 40 mm bore, 12 x 3.3 mm keyway, and induction-hardened S45C steel teeth rated to 50-60 HRC. It has a pitch diameter of 240 mm, outside diameter of 246 mm, face width of 30 mm, and hub width of 20 mm. The gear conforms to JIS grade N7 precision (JIS B1702-1:1998) with a 20° pressure angle and allowable torque of 11.2 N·m. Backlash is specified at 0.14-0.24 mm. Secondary operations on tooth areas are prohibited due to induction hardening.
