KSSG3-40J28 is a ground spur gear in the J series, module 3, with 40 teeth and a 28 mm finished bore. It has a pitch diameter of 120 mm, outside diameter of 132 mm, face width of 30 mm, hub width of 20 mm, and total length of 50 mm. The gear is made from S45C steel with induction-hardened tooth surfaces at 50-60 HRC, meets JIS grade N7 precision (JIS B1702-1:1998), and has a 20° pressure angle with standard full-depth teeth. Keyway dimensions are 8 mm width by 3.3 mm depth, fitted with an M6 set screw. Backlash is specified as 0.14-0.24 mm. Secondary operations on tooth areas are prohibited due to induction hardening. A set screw is included.
