KSSG3-34J40 is a module 3, 40-tooth ground spur gear made of S45C steel with induction-hardened tooth surfaces ranging from 50 to 60 HRC, featuring a 12 mm wide by 3.3 mm deep keyway per JIS B1301 Js9 tolerance. It has a bore diameter of 34 mm, pitch diameter of 102 mm, outside diameter of 108 mm, face width of 30 mm, hub width of 20 mm, and total length of 50 mm. The gear meets JIS Grade N7 precision (JIS B1702-1:1998) and has a theoretical normal backlash of 0.14 to 0.24 mm. A set screw is included, with an allowable torque of 10 N·m. Secondary operations on the tooth area are not permitted due to induction hardening.
