Made of S45C steel with induction-hardened teeth at 50-60 HRC, conforming to JIS grade N7 (JIS B1702-1: 1998) and JIS grade 3 (JIS B1702: 1976). Allowable torque is 34.5 N·m for bending strength and 28.5 N·m for surface durability, with theoretical backlash of 0.06-0.21 mm and weight of 2.26 kg.
