Steel spur gear with module 3, 40 teeth, and a 40 mm finished bore, conforming to JIS grade N8 precision (JIS B1702-1:1998) with a 20° pressure angle and S45C material. The bore is fitted with a keyway to JIS B1301 Js9 tolerance, and the gear includes a set screw for the tapped hole. Backlash ranges between 0.20 mm and 0.44 mm, with an allowable torque of 10.4 N·m. The gear has a die-forged finish and is not black oxide coated where modified.
