KSS3-55J45 is a module 3, 45-tooth steel spur gear with a 45 mm finished bore, made of S45C material and conforming to JIS grade N8 (JIS B1702-1:1998) precision standards. It has a 20° pressure angle, standard full depth teeth, and a tooth hardness less than 194 HB. The gear is paired with a keyway machined to JIS B1301 Js9 tolerance and includes a set screw for the tapped hole. The allowable torque is 4.39 N·m, and backlash is specified as 0.20~0.44 mm.
