It has a 20° pressure angle, full-depth teeth, and is made of S45C steel with a hardness less than 194 HB. Precision conforms to JIS grade N8 (JIS B1702-1: 1998). Backlash is theoretically 0.18 to 0.38 mm for a matched pair. The gear has a 70 mm outside diameter, 84 mm face width, and 25.4 mm total length. It weighs 2.44 kg.
