It is manufactured from S45C steel with a tooth hardness of less than 194 HB, conforming to JIS grade N8 precision (JIS B1702-1:1998). The gear has a 20° pressure angle, standard full-depth teeth, and an allowable torque of 0.64 N·m (0.065 kgf·m). Backlash is specified as 0.16~0.34 mm. The keyway is machined to JIS B1301 Js9 tolerance. The part includes a set screw and is black oxide coated except on reworked surfaces.
