KSH3-60L is a left-handed helical gear with a module of 3, 140 teeth, and a helix angle of 15°, made from S45C steel with a tooth hardness of less than 194 HB. It has a pitch diameter of 186.35 mm, an outside diameter of 192.35 mm, a face width of 35 mm, and a total length of 50 mm. The gear is precision-ground to JIS grade N8 (JIS B1702-1:1998) and has a theoretical backlash range of 0.20-0.44 mm. Allowable torque values are 866 N·m for bending strength and 88.3 N·m for surface durability, with a weight of 24.0 kg. It is designed for use with right-handed counterparts in the same module and produces axial thrust forces.

Helical gears are comparable to spur gears, but due to the higher contact ratio, they are quieter, vibrate less, and experience less friction. Helical gear pairs have the same helix angle but opposite threads (left-hand and right-hand).
