KPSA2.5-48J18 is a plastic spur gear with a module of 2.5, 18 teeth, a 5 mm wide by 2.3 mm deep keyway, and a 18 mm bore. It is made of MC901 nylon, has a 20° pressure angle, and meets JIS grade N9 precision (equivalent to JIS B1702-1: 1998). The gear has a pitch diameter of 45 mm, an outside diameter of 50 mm, a face width of 25 mm, and an allowable torque of 0.33 N·m. Backlash is specified as 0 to 0.48 mm. The gear is designed for light-load applications and is not rated for high temperatures or reverse-impact conditions without a steel hub. Keyways are manufactured to JIS B1301, Js 9 tolerance.
