KPS1-28J8 is a module 1, 28-tooth plastic spur gear made of MC901 nylon with an 8 mm bore, 28 mm pitch diameter, 30 mm outside diameter, 10 mm face width, and 20 mm total length. It features a keyway conforming to JIS B1301 (Js 9 tolerance) and has a theoretical backlash of 0 to 0.34 mm. The allowable torque is 0.94 N·m (0.096 kgf·m). The gear is designed for use with steel gears to avoid heat generation from friction and is rated to JIS B1702-1:1998 precision grade N9, equivalent to S1. It includes a set screw for mounting with torque not exceeding 0.38 N·m for M5 threads.
