Plastic spur gears with a steel core, designed for use with metric modules 2.5 and 3, feature a JIS grade N9 precision rating and a 20° pressure angle. The KNSU3 series uses MC602ST nylon molded onto an S45C steel core with a diamond knurling process for strong adhesion. The KNSU3-32 variant has 32 teeth, a 60 mm bore, 96 mm pitch diameter, 102 mm outside diameter, 30 mm face width, and 47 mm total length. It offers an allowable torque of 36.1 N·m (3.68 kgf·m) and a backlash of 0~0.54 mm. Dimensional stability is maintained across wide temperature ranges, and the design eliminates need for additional fastening methods.
