Module 3 ground helical gear with 60 teeth, right-hand helix, and a 50 mm bore. The gear has a 180 mm pitch diameter, 186 mm outside diameter, 25 mm face width, and 41 mm total length. It is made from SCM440 steel with induction-hardened tooth surfaces at 50-60 HRC and meets JIS grade N6 (JIS B1702-1:1998) precision. The helix angle is 21°30' with a 20° transverse pressure angle. Allowable bending strength is 757 N·m and surface durability is 1560 N·m, with theoretical backlash of 0.14-0.24 mm. Axial thrust forces are produced. No secondary operations are permitted on tooth areas due to hardness.

Helical gears are comparable to spur gears, but due to the higher contact ratio, they are quieter, vibrate less, and experience less friction. Helical gear pairs have the same helix angle but opposite threads (left-hand and right-hand).
