The gear has a transverse pressure angle of 20° and a helix angle of 21°30'. Dimensions include a pitch diameter of 54 mm, outside diameter of 60 mm, face width of 25 mm, hub width of 16 mm, and total length of 41 mm. Allowable torque is 171 N·m (bending strength) and 115 kgf·m (surface durability), with theoretical backlash of 0.12-0.22 mm. Axial thrust forces are produced and secondary operations on tooth areas are prohibited due to induction hardening.
