Ground helical gears with module 2, helix angle 21°30', and transverse pressure angle 20°, manufactured from SCM440 steel with induction-hardened tooth surfaces at 50-60 HRC, conform to JIS grade N6 (JIS B1702-1:1998) and JIS grade 2 (JIS B1702:1976). These gears produce axial thrust forces and are available in right- and left-handed versions, with tooth counts from 15 to 100. The standard bore diameter is 29 mm, face width is 16 mm, and hub width is 13 mm. Backlash ranges from 0.10 to 0.24 mm depending on tooth count. The KKHG2 series is not interchangeable with KSH-type helical gears.

Helical gears are comparable to spur gears, but due to the higher contact ratio, they are quieter, vibrate less, and experience less friction. Helical gear pairs have the same helix angle but opposite threads (left-hand and right-hand). Helical gears can be used in place of spur gears; they can be used in drives with non-parallel axes or positioned in between parallel axes.
