Ground helical gear with module 2.5, 36 teeth, left-hand helix, plain bore, induction-hardened tooth surface at 50~60HRC, made from SCM440 steel, with a pitch diameter of 90 mm, outside diameter of 95 mm, face width of 20 mm, hub width of 14 mm, total length of 34 mm, and allowable torque of 302 N·m (30.8 kgf·m) for surface durability. JIS grade 2 (JIS B1702: 1976) and JIS grade N6 (JIS B1702-1: 1998) precision ratings apply. Backlash is 0.12~0.22 mm. Axial thrust forces are produced and secondary operations on teeth are prohibited due to induction hardening.

Helical gears are comparable to spur gears, but due to the higher contact ratio, they are quieter, vibrate less, and experience less friction.
