Module 2 ground helical gear with 48 teeth, right-hand helix, and a 20 mm bore, conforming to JIS grade N6 (JIS B1702-1:1998) and JIS grade 2 (JIS B1702:1976), made of SCM440 with induction-hardened tooth surfaces (50-60 HRC), 21°30′ helix angle, 20° transverse pressure angle, and standard full-depth teeth. The gear has a pitch diameter of 96 mm, outside diameter of 100 mm, face width of 16 mm, hub width of 13 mm, total length of 29 mm, and an allowable torque of 273 N·m (27.9 kgf·m) with backlash of 0.12-0.22 mm. The part generates axial thrust forces and is not interchangeable with KSH type helical gears.

Helical gears are comparable to spur gears, but due to the higher contact ratio, they are quieter, vibrate less, and experience less friction. Helical gear pairs have the same helix angle but opposite threads (left-hand and right-hand).
