Features a 20° transverse pressure angle and 21°30′ helix angle. The gear has a pitch diameter of 64 mm, outside diameter of 68 mm, face width of 16 mm, hub width of 13 mm, and total length of 29 mm. Allowable torque is 11.0 N·m for bending strength and 11.9 N·m for surface durability, with backlash ranging from 0.12 to 0.22 mm and an approximate weight of 0.55 kg. Axial thrust forces are present. Secondary operations are prohibited on tooth areas due to hardness.

Helical gears are comparable to spur gears, but due to the higher contact ratio, they are quieter, vibrate less, and experience less friction.
