The KKHG2-24L is a left-handed ground helical gear with a module of 2, 24 teeth, and a transverse pressure angle of 20°. It is made of SCM440 steel with induction-hardened tooth surfaces at 50-60 HRC, and conforms to JIS grade N6 (JIS B1702-1:1998) and JIS grade 2 (JIS B1702:1976). The helix angle is 21°30′, with a face width of 16 mm, hub width of 13 mm, and total length of 29 mm. The bore diameter is 38 mm, pitch diameter is 48 mm, outside diameter is 52 mm, and hub diameter is 16 mm. The gear has a theoretical normal backlash of 0.30 mm and an allowable torque of 7.47 N·m for bending strength and 6.26 N·m for surface durability. Right- and left-handed variants are designed to mesh as a pair but are not interchangeable with KSH type helical gears.

Helical gears are comparable to spur gears, but due to the higher contact ratio, they are quieter, vibrate less, and experience less friction.
