Backlash is 0.12-0.20 mm. These gears produce axial thrust forces and cannot have secondary operations performed on the hardened tooth surface.

Helical gears are comparable to spur gears, but due to the higher contact ratio, they are quieter, vibrate less, and experience less friction.
