KCG2-60R1 is a right-hand lead, single-start worm gear with a 60:1 reduction ratio, made of FC200 gray iron, featuring a 12 mm bore, 60 mm hub diameter, 120.25 mm pitch diameter, 124 mm throat diameter, 126 mm outside diameter, and 22 mm face width. It has a standard full-depth tooth profile with a 14° 30' normal pressure angle, Reference Normal plane section, and KHK W 002 grade 4 precision. The gear has a mounting distance of 75.5 mm, a total length of 35 mm, a hub width of 13 mm, and a weight of 1.44 kg. Allowable torque at 30 rpm is 56.4 N·m, decreasing to 27.2 N·m at 1200 rpm, with backlash between 0.10 and 0.28 mm.
Module 2, 60 Tooth, 1 Start, Right Handed Cast Iron Worm Gear with Plain Bore
A worm gear pair, or worm gear set, consists of two gears: the worm, which resembles a spiral screw, and the worm gear (aka, worm wheel).
For the pair to mesh, the worm and worm gear must have the same pressure angles, modules, and lead directions (left- or right-hand).
A worm revolves on a shaft that’s perpendicular to the worm gear and the shaft angle is typically 90°. Because the teeth gradually mesh as the worm rotates, there is low noise and low vibration.
