KCG2-60L1 is a left-hand lead worm gear with a 60:1 reduction ratio, module 2, 60 teeth, and 1 start, designed for use with corresponding steel worms. It features a plain bore of 12 mm, a hub diameter of 60 mm, a pitch diameter of 120.25 mm, a throat diameter of 124 mm, an outside diameter of 126 mm, and a face width of 22 mm. The gear is made of gray iron (FC200) with no heat treatment, and has a standard full-depth tooth profile at a 14°30' pressure angle. The weight is 1.44 kg, and the allowable torque at 30 rpm is 56.4 N·m. Backlash ranges from 0.10 to 0.28 mm. The precision grade is KHK W 002 grade 4. The mounting distance is 75.5 mm.
Module 2, 60 Tooth, 1 Start, Left Handed Cast Iron Worm Gear with Plain Bore
A worm gear pair, or worm gear set, consists of two gears: the worm, which resembles a spiral screw, and the worm gear (aka, worm wheel).
For the pair to mesh, the worm and worm gear must have the same pressure angles, modules, and lead directions (left- or right-hand).
A worm revolves on a shaft that’s perpendicular to the worm gear and the shaft angle is typically 90°. Because the teeth gradually mesh as the worm rotates, there is low noise and low vibration.
