Left-hand lead bronze worm wheel with a 20:1 reduction ratio, 20 teeth, module 2, and 2 starts, featuring a 12 mm bore, 33 mm hub diameter, 40.34 mm pitch diameter, 44 mm throat diameter, 46 mm outside diameter, and 22 mm face width. The gear has a normal pressure angle of 14°30', standard full-depth teeth, and is made of CAC502 material with a sand mold casting finish. It has a mounting distance of 35.5 mm, allowable torque values for 30 rpm to 1200 rpm ranging from 4.80 N·m to 12.3 N·m, backlash of 0.10-0.28 mm, and weighs 0.33 kg.
Module 2, 20 Tooth, 2 Start, Left Handed Bronze Worm Gear with Plain Bore
A worm gear pair, or worm gear set, consists of two gears: the worm, which resembles a spiral screw, and the worm gear (aka, worm wheel).
For the pair to mesh, the worm and worm gear must have the same pressure angles, modules, and lead directions (left- or right-hand).
A worm revolves on a shaft that’s perpendicular to the worm gear and the shaft angle is typically 90°. Because the teeth gradually mesh as the worm rotates, there is low noise and low vibration.
