KAGF6-60R1 is a right-hand lead worm wheel with a module of 6, 60 teeth, and a single start, designed for use with worm shafts. It features a 20° normal pressure angle, standard full-depth teeth, and is made from CAC702 aluminum bronze with a hub of FC200 cast iron. The gear has a pitch diameter of 360 mm, an outside diameter of 378 mm, a face width of 40 mm, and a hub width of 40 mm. The bore diameter is Ø210 mm with an H0 tolerance. It weighs 10.0 kg and has a backlash range of 0.24-0.37 mm. Allowable torques are listed for speeds from 30 to 1800 rpm, with a maximum of 2520 N·m at 30 rpm. The gear is precision grade KHK W 002 grade 2 and is not subject to heat treatment.

A worm gear pair, or worm gear set, consists of two gears: the worm, which resembles a spiral screw, and the worm gear (aka, worm wheel).
For the pair to mesh, the worm and worm gear must have the same pressure angles, modules, and lead directions (left- or right-hand).
A worm revolves on a shaft that’s perpendicular to the worm gear and the shaft angle is typically 90°. Because the teeth gradually mesh as the worm rotates, there is low noise and low vibration.
