KAGF5-60R1 is a right-hand, single-start worm wheel with module 5, 60 teeth, and a 5°43' helix angle, made from CAC702 aluminum bronze with a hub of FC200 cast iron. It has a bore diameter of 200 mm, pitch diameter of 300 mm, outside diameter of 315 mm, face width of 35 mm, and hub width of 200 mm. The part has a weight of 6.48 kg and a backlash of 0.22~0.35 mm. Allowable torque values are specified for rotational speeds from 30 to 1800 rpm, with a maximum of 1610 N·m at 30 rpm. The gear conforms to KHK W 002 grade 2 precision standards and is designed for use with matching KKWG5 series worm shafts.

A worm gear pair, or worm gear set, consists of two gears: the worm, which resembles a spiral screw, and the worm gear (aka, worm wheel).
For the pair to mesh, the worm and worm gear must have the same pressure angles, modules, and lead directions (left- or right-hand).
A worm revolves on a shaft that’s perpendicular to the worm gear and the shaft angle is typically 90°. Because the teeth gradually mesh as the worm rotates, there is low noise and low vibration.
