KAGF3-25R1 is a right-hand lead worm gear with module 3, 25 teeth, one start, and a standard full-depth tooth profile at a 20° normal pressure angle. It is made from CAC702 aluminum bronze, has a plain bore with H6 tolerance, and features a face width of 25 mm. The gear weighs 1.24 kg and has a hub diameter of 20 mm with a pitch diameter of 75 mm. Allowable torque at 30 rpm is 90.2 N·m, decreasing to 33.5 N·m at 1800 rpm. Backlash ranges from 0.16 to 0.29 mm. The gear is designed for use with KKWG3-R1 worm shafts and has an axial lead angle of 4°31'.

A worm gear pair, or worm gear set, consists of two gears: the worm, which resembles a spiral screw, and the worm gear (aka, worm wheel).
For the pair to mesh, the worm and worm gear must have the same pressure angles, modules, and lead directions (left- or right-hand).
A worm revolves on a shaft that’s perpendicular to the worm gear and the shaft angle is typically 90°. Because the teeth gradually mesh as the worm rotates, there is low noise and low vibration.
