KAGDL4-36R1 is a duplex worm wheel with a nominal module of 4, 36 teeth, and a right-hand helix angle of 3°41'. It features a plain bore of 75 mm, a hub diameter of 144 mm, a pitch diameter of 144 mm, an outside diameter of 152 mm, a face width of 35 mm, and a hub width of 20 mm. The gear is made from CAC702 aluminum bronze with no heat treatment applied. It is designed for use with a matching duplex worm and must be mounted in a predetermined orientation as indicated by marked arrows. The maximum allowable backlash is 0±0.045 mm, and its weight is 4.18 kg.
Module 4, 36 Tooth, 1 Start, Right Handed Aluminum Bronze Duplex Worm Gear with Plain Bore
A worm gear pair, or worm gear set, consists of two gears: the worm, which resembles a spiral screw, and the worm gear (aka, worm wheel).
For the pair to mesh, the worm and worm gear must have the same pressure angles, modules, and lead directions (left- or right-hand).
A worm revolves on a shaft that’s perpendicular to the worm gear and the shaft angle is typically 90°. Because the teeth gradually mesh as the worm rotates, there is low noise and low vibration.
