KAGDL1.5-60R1 is a duplex worm wheel with a module of 1.5, 60 teeth, and a right-hand lead, designed for use with duplex worms. It has a plain bore with a diameter of 60 mm, a hub diameter of 120 mm, a pitch diameter of 90 mm, an outside diameter of 94.5 mm, a face width of 14 mm, a hub width of 10 mm, and a total length of 57.5 mm. The gear teeth use a standard full-depth profile with a normal pressure angle of 17°30′, fabricated from CAC702 (formerly JIS AℓBC2) aluminum bronze with no heat treatment. The maximum allowable backlash is 0±0.045 mm, and the weight is 0.83 kg. Precision grade is KHK W 002 grade 1. The gear must be mated with a corresponding duplex worm in a predetermined orientation as indicated by arrows on the wheel, which denote rotational direction, not mounting.

A worm gear pair, or worm gear set, consists of two gears: the worm, which resembles a spiral screw, and the worm gear (aka, worm wheel).
For the pair to mesh, the worm and worm gear must have the same pressure angles, modules, and lead directions (left- or right-hand).
A worm revolves on a shaft that’s perpendicular to the worm gear and the shaft angle is typically 90°. Because the teeth gradually mesh as the worm rotates, there is low noise and low vibration.
